Therefore, many users use air compressors in the laser cutting process, and use compressed air to assist metal cutting. So here comes the question:


Air is mainly composed of nitrogen and oxygen, and also contains a small amount of water vapor. 

Why does the lens of the fiber laser cutting machine atomize? This is inextricably linked to compressed air.


The laser emitted by the laser through the focusing 

lens forms a spot on a certain point on the material. 

The material is melted instantaneously due to the high-density laser energy. 

At this time, the compressed air is blown out through the pipe to blow away the molten liquid to complete the metal cutting action. 


In this process, the compressed air plays the role of blowing away the drive, and at the same time plays the role of cleaning and cooling the lens. 

At this time, the outer optical path of the laser cutting machine is filled with compressed air, and the lens is cut at a certain temperature.

 Under a certain temperature difference, the water vapor in the air condenses and causes the lens to fog. More seriously,

 if water vapor condenses on the focusing lens through the blowpipe, it will damage the focusing lens or cause poor cutting quality.


Nowadays, compressed air is widely used in laser cutting production, but the compressed air contains a lot of water, which is very harmful,

 not only will affect the operating efficiency of gas equipment, but also affect the processing technology. Therefore, when the user uses

 compressed air for cutting, it is necessary to equip a dryer to ensure that there is no liquid water at the outlet of the compressed air. 

But not all dryers can guarantee the gas demand for laser cutting. When choosing a dryer, it is necessary to consider its adsorption 

of water vapor and impurity particles to ensure clean compressed air, so as to meet the demand for compressed air quality for 

laser cutting and ensure high-precision and high-quality laser cutting results.
